All across the country states are hiring thousands of medical professionals to be contact tracers for the Coronavirus. Basically, what a contact tracer is is someone who gets told somebody tested posited for COVID 19, the contact tracer then contacts all the people that person may have been in contact with. It’s a rather simple job but they prefer someone with health care experience. This makes it an ideal job for Podiatrists and Podiatry residents who have vast infectious disease experience which include a rotation in infectious disease as well as a course in Podiatry School.
I would recommend that if you are looking for a job as a contact tracer as a Podiatrists, until COVID blows over you should emphasize this infectious disease experience. But by and large Podiatrists are qualified for these positions and should take the chance to apply for these jobs.
