There was a time, even a decade ago, a Podiatry office always needed an office manager. Podiatry offices had 5 or 6 employees. Just managing those employees was practically a full time job. You need an office manager to do payroll, manage health insurance and just provide all the human resources that an office of that size has. Serious question: why do Podiatrists still have an office manager when there are companies such as PayChex that will perform this duty for less expense and better than any human?
It’s just unreal that a Podiatry office would employ an office manager when it can just have a multi billion dollar company that does this full time manage it for half the price. Heck, most office managers tend to be billing specialists and do not want to be doing payroll anyways. So at least if your office manager could start doing payroll and concentrate more on billing this could even lead to greater revenue. Additionally, one in three employees make tax mistakes on payroll which can lead to massive fines. You do not what to have to pay a fine because you are too lazy to pay someone to do it for you.
